Where Was The First Golf Course To Use Golf Carts?
Golf is a great game, and over the years the number of players playing the game is increasing more and more. The golf courses are usually very large and it becomes quite tedious for the golf players to move across the courses on foot. Carrying the golf cart across the golf courses also tends to become a very weary task, and this is why many golf clubs provided the golf players with caddies. The caddies used to carry the golf bags for the players, but still the players had to walk across the length of the golf course. To make matters better, clubs started providing golf carts to their members, when they wanted to play a round of golf. This made moving around the golf courses much easier for the players.
Since their introduction to the international market, golf carts have become very popular with golf players around the world. The first golf carts were manufactured to help those golf players who had some kind of disabilities. They were introduced some where in the 1940’s. Though the initial golf carts were much tougher as they needed to be pulled along, several innovations were made to it, and later on golf carts were available, that could be driven along just like cars. The first golf cart which could be driven along ran on gasoline and was manufactured by Merlin. L. Harvolson. The very first golf course that used golf carts was located at the town called The Villages in Florida.
Since the introduction of the gasoline powered golf carts, many companies tried to make innovations to them, and thus led to the introduction of the electric golf carts. The electric powered golf carts became more popular than their gasoline powered counterparts and are much in vogue nowadays. However using electric golf carts has its share of disadvantages too, as users need to ensure that their carts have enough charge in them to cover the whole distance, otherwise you have to search for a power source when the charge is down. Thus electric golf carts should be limited to use closer to your homes, so that you can charge them when required. With gasoline powered golf carts you would not face the problem, as you will be able to carry some gasoline with you all the time.
Although golf carts were primarily manufactured to help people in golf course, people have found to use them for various purposes. Nowadays people use golf carts to travel short distances, even though they are not granted by the government to be used on normal roads. Manufacturers allow you to make all the additions you want to make to golf carts to make them more suitable for your use. They are still considered to be a great part of the wonderful game of golf and makes life far easier for the golfers.

Replacing Your Golf Grips
A great sum of money is spent each year by every golfer for their golf equipment, and items like golf clubs are always on the top of their list and they tend to buy the best ones that their money could afford. Significant amounts of money are further invested on private gold lessons and golf training aids in addition to the expenses for their basic golf gear, however they tend to forget or overlook a fundamental item – the golf grips.
Outfitting your golf club set with new grips is a very inexpensive and effective way to quickly improve your golf game by helping you have more consistency simply because you can get a better hold on your clubs. With a better and firmer grip, you will also be able to improve your golf swing.
If your golf club set has worn and tired golf grips, then it won’t matter if you spend thousands of dollars to buy the best golf training aids on the market because the grips that are in bad shape will be a detriment to your game. Golfers who are serious about playing to their highest potential know that it is extremely important to keep all aspects of their golfing equipment in great condition.
Most amateur golfers never even think about the need to change the grips on their clubs. Novices can play for years with the same set of clubs without changing the grips and then wonder why they don’t see any improvement in their game, even though they put in time to practice and buy other golf improvement aids and tools, watch all the golf training videos they can get their hands on, and constantly talk about wanting to be a better golfer.
The professionals on the other hand know exactly the importance of changing their golf grips regularly, and as a matter of fact they even ensure that their clubs are re-gripped at the end of each and every round of the golf tournament or event that they are playing in. They do this so that their clubs fell does not change and that their hands feel the same on each round that they play.
It would certainly be an overkill to change the golf grips after every round for the average golfer, but considering the extremely high level of competition in the golf tournaments today, every advantage counts and for the pros they will leave no things to chance. By the fact that the professionals are putting that much emphasis on ensuring that their grips are in the best condition, it should not be surprise for any other golfer why they are not in the same league if they are unable to make the same commitment in keeping their golf equipment in top condition.
The general guidelines for how often to replace grips are as follows. If you play golf an average of one time per week, then the grips on your clubs should be changed once every year. If you frequently play a round two times a week, then you should increase the frequency of replacing the grips to twice a year. If you also get to the driving range once or twice a week, then you should change those grips even more often than that.
It may not be necessary for you to replace each club in your golf set at the same time. The frequency of changing the grips on each club will vary with how much you actually use a particular club, and you can choose to replace the golf grips that tend to be used a lot more and start to feel worn out. Most golfers do however, like to get all their clubs re-gripped at the same time so that all their clubs have the same feel.
As a habit, you should check the condition of your golf grips at least once a month, do this especially if you do play golf on a weekly basis. Any grip that seems to have a slick and shiny feel has to be be replaced. When you put your hands around a well conditioned set of grips, it should feel a little sticky and should always feel great in your hands.

Putting Tips For Beginners
Being new to golf has its advantages, first of all you have not learned any bad habits that need to be broken. You are starting out with a clean slate and it is much easier to learn good habits from the start then to unlearn bad ones.
Many new golfers tend to go through the same learning curve and go for the big drive as opposed to learning another, just as essential skill which of course is to learn to putt correctly.
First of is to get your self some decent golf clubs, your local golf equipment shop should be able to help you here as most of the good one employ golf pro’s who can advice you correctly about a good choice of clubs and putters.
Ladies golf equipment varies as will your own needs so make sure you get this very first step right as well.
Putting may not see like a lot of fun to work on but it is crucial if you want to keep your scores low. Most beginners make the mistake of going out to the driving range and hitting ball after ball with their driver believing that the only way they are going to get good and hopefully break 80 is by hitting a 300 yard drive.
This is a big mistake, what you need to remember is that a missed three foot putt will cost you the same amount of strokes as a 300 yard drive.
So how do you get good at putting? You get good a putting by learning the fundamentals and by practicing. Here is an often overlooked putting tip for beginners and experienced golfer alike.
Read the Break
When you are learning to putt you want to learn how to read the greens. This takes time but there are certain things that you can do to help the learning curve.
First if you belong to a home course take several balls out onto the course and just putt around the green. Look for any general tendencies, for example, if there is a lake around you may be surprised to learn that the greens, everywhere on the course, tend to break towards the water.
Then walk around on the greens and look and feel. There is a reason that the pros walk around their putts, not only are they looking for the breaks they are feeling with their feet the subtle breaks around the green.
Once you have done that stand on the side of the green and take a look at all the breaks on the green, see if there are any levels and which way it slopes. All of this information will be very helpful to helping you learn how to putt in actual playing conditions.
